What Causes a Gummy Smile and How Can It Be Fixed?

Do you show too much gum tissue when you smile? What causes this and how can it be fixed? The official term for a “gummy smile” is excessive gingival display. Excessive gingival display can be the result of several different conditions and the most appropriate way to correct it depends upon the underlying cause.
